Performing arts accessibility

Through the incorporation of accessibility measures in the performing arts, people with sensory disabilities and the elderly can enjoy culture under equal conditions.

We offer you several solutions to make your shows accessible.

Adapted Subtitling

Service for hearing impaired people that offers transcription of dialogues, identification of characters by colors, labels or dashes, sound and suprasegmental information. We perform over-titling in theater and opera.

Scripts translation

Translation of show scripts into multiple languages.

Open subtitling

The most common systems for open subtitling are: Video projection system and LED screen system.

Video projection system

Requires one or several professional video projectors with a suitable lens depending on the distance and their respective screens or projection areas that adequately reflect the image.

LED screen system

LED screens are characterized by a higher color density, more uniform illumination which positively influences the sharpness of the screen.

Closed captioning (through the cell phone)

Closed captioning systems project subtitles directly to the cell phone after QR code scanning. It allows individual configuration of parameters (i.e. font size) and language.

Audio description.

Communication support service in the form of narration that includes information on the most relevant visual elements of a stage show. Aimed at people who are blind and/or have low vision.

Sign Language Interpretation

A natural language of visual, gestural and spatial character that corresponds to the official means of communication for a large part of the deaf community. Shows can be fully interpreted in sign language.

Magnetic Loop

FM hearing aid system connected to an individual magnetic induction loop that allows listening to the play clearly. Intended for people with cochlear implants and/or hearing aids in T-position.

Amplified sound

FM hearing aid system connected to binaural headphones that allow listening to the play with individual volume control. Intended for people with hearing loss and/or hearing aids without T-position.

Vibrating backpacks

Devices that are placed on the chest or back and convert sound frequencies into vibrations. They can be connected to an individual magnetic loop or headphones and are intended for deaf and hearing impaired people.

Touch tours

Organized visit prior to the accessible performance with audio description, where attendees learn about elements of the costumes, props and scenery of the play they will attend later. Aimed at people who are blind and/or have low vision.

Easy Read

Writing system that allows an easier reading and comprehension of a content that includes text, illustrations and layout. Aimed at people with intellectual disabilities and/or reading comprehension difficulties.
